Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet; behind neck guard, Hermes kneeling right, fastening a sandal. BCD Akarnania 262.2 and 276 var. (Hermes holding a kerykeion and Λ behind neck guard) Calciati 99. HGC 4, 826. Very rare and with an absolutely wonderful reverse symbol. Struck from slightly worn dies, otherwise, extremely fine.
